New Garbage Service Company
PRO Waste has been approved as the new garbage service company for Madison Borough effective the week of May 3. Bankosh will pick up garbage for the last time on Friday, April 24.
PRO Waste will pick up garbage within the Borough on Mondays, which is a change from our previous pick up day of Friday. PRO Waste's first garbage pick up day will be Monday, May 4 and their start time will be between 6:00 and 6:30 AM every Monday. Each household will start receiving a new bill from PRO Waste and landlords will be receiving information on billing for each rental unit. PRO Waste does offer one large item per week pickup also. And as a reminder, and per Borough ordinance, ALL garbage must be placed in garbage containers until garbage day. Please do not let a pile of garbage sit out all week.
6/11/25 Update:
There was an incident at the Madison Borough Park on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. A truck and trailer got stuck at the top of the park walking path, along with another truck who was trying to pull the truck and trailer out. The truck and trailer had to be towed to the bottom of the park. Please note, they were not there to do work on the park. The borough is taking the necessary measures to ensure there will be no tax dollars spent on the repairs.
